Hi there!  I’m Delphine Lee, an illustrator and artist based in Washington DC.

Since 2017 I’ve been working as a full-time freelance illustrator. However, my path here was not a straight one. I studied fashion design and worked as a sweater designer in NYC for many years until my love for art and illustration led me onto the path I am on today.

What really gets me going is creating images that explore common themes in everyday life and to break down complexities into smaller palatable bits through humor and sensitivity. I also really like drawing people’s faces and animals.

In my free time, I love to knit too many sweaters for myself, hop on a bike to explore around town, take care of my plant babies, and cook new recipes I gather from trips from different corners of the world. I’m at my most content self when surrounded by nature with a good book hanging from a hammock.
With a sketchbook handy, of course!

I would love to work with you!
