Hi there! I’m Delphine Lee, an illustrator and artist based in Washington DC.
I’ve been working as a freelance illustrator since 2016. However, my path here was not a straight one. I studied fashion design and worked as a sweater designer in NYC for many years until my love for art and illustration led me onto the path I am on today.
What really gets me going is creating images that explore common themes in everyday life and to break down complexities into smaller palatable bits through humor and sensitivity.
In my free time, I love to knit too many sweaters for myself, hop on a bike to explore around town, take care of my plant babies, and cook new recipes I gather from trips from different corners of the world. I’m at my most content self when surrounded by nature with a good book hanging from a hammock.
With a sketchbook handy, of course!
